Refund & Cancellation Policy

Because Janafoods sells fresh, made-to-order food products, our refund and cancellation policy is different from a typical retail store. Please read this before placing your order.

All Sales Are Final on Food Items

For health and food safety reasons, we do not accept returns or exchanges on any cookie or pastry products once they have been prepared or picked up. This is standard practice for food businesses and is consistent with Alberta food safety requirements.

Order Cancellations

  • Before baking begins: Contact us as soon as possible. Cancellations made before we begin preparing your batch may be eligible for a full refund at our discretion.
  • After baking begins: Once your order has entered preparation, we are unable to offer a refund or cancellation. Ingredients have already been purchased and your batch is being made specifically for you.
  • No-shows at pickup: If you do not collect your order during the confirmed pickup window and do not contact us in advance, the order is forfeited and no refund will be issued.

Missed Delivery

If you are not available during the confirmed delivery window and we are unable to complete delivery, we will attempt to contact you to arrange an alternative time. If redelivery cannot be arranged, the order is forfeited and no refund will be issued. Please ensure you are available during your confirmed delivery window.

Our Error or Quality Issue

If we made a genuine mistake — for example, you received the wrong item or a product arrived damaged — please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order and include a photo. We will review the situation and, at our discretion, offer a replacement, store credit, or partial refund.

Allergen Responsibility

We are not responsible for allergic reactions if allergen information was provided at the time of order and the customer did not disclose their allergy before purchasing. If you have a food allergy, please contact us before ordering. See the allergen notice on each product page for full details.
